Ingredients for Chana Ki Dal Kebab 1 cup gram dal 2-3 garlic (finely chopped) 2 cups blanched spinach 1 cup grated paneer 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 1 cup all purpose flour 1 teaspoon chaat masala 5 - 6 chopped green chillies 2 tbsp boiled peas (optional) 1 cup salt as required Ginger (finely chopped)
How to make Chana Dal Kebab
1. First, prepare the batter. Wash the gram dal and soak it in a bowl for an hour. After 2 hours drain the water and cook the dal in a pressure cooker with garlic, ginger, green chillies and 1 cup of water and cook for 3 whistles. .3. Once done, switch off the flame. Next, add the pressure cooked ingredients, spinach, and green peas to the blender with a little water. Blend them into a smooth paste.
4. Now it's time to transfer this blended paste to a large mixing bowl and add paneer, salt, garam masala, chaat masala and 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. Mix well.
5. Now make small amount of tikki like structure. Roll it on your palms.
6. Make a flour-water paste in a bowl using all-purpose flour and water. Spread the remaining bread crumbs on a plate. Now, first dip the kebabs in the flour-water mixture and then roll them in the breadcrumbs. Take them out of the pan and drain the excess oil using clean paper towels.
7. Serve and enjoy!!
